Hi,
My name is Debbie Martens. I am a teacher for ACT DET currently working as a Literacy Advisor at U-CAN Readat the University of Canberra. Click on the arrow link to find out more about U-CAN Read.
As part of the leading to leadership course I am completing an action research project to investigate the use of wikis for teachers in the ACT. The idea of this wiki is to share best practice, educational websites, books and other resources and ideas with teachers in the ACT.
You are lucky enough to be selected as part of my research group. Therefore I have sent you a link to this wiki to see what you think of it and how useful you feel wikis could be to the future sharing of best practice amongst ACT teachers. I have included some awesome resources, websites and teaching ideas on this wiki which I hope you will take a look at and use in your teaching. All I ask is that after you have taken a look at the wiki you complete a short online surveyby clicking on this underlined linkso I can gather your responses to help me with my research project.
On the top right hand side of the page you will see the headings for other pages in the wiki. Click on a heading and it will take you to that page. On each page there are links to great resources and websites that you will be able to use in your teaching and planning all here on one wiki site - I hope you enjoy this wiki as much as I do.....
The wiki is protected which means that anyone can access the wiki using the web address but only invited people can add to or edit the wiki site. If you would like to be invited to edit or add to the site please send me an e-mail at Debbie.Martens@canberra.edu.au
For those of you who are not sure how a wiki works I have included a link to a short and entertaining u-tube clip below which explains how wikis work. Even if you know about wikis it is quite an amusing video so I recommend you click on the arrow and see it for yourself.
Welcome to the teachersharingsite Wiki!
